Ref-2143 Pelican - vermeil masonic pendant

Vermeil pendant (solid 925 sterling silver coated with fine gold). Height without bail 17 mm_ with bail 23 mm_ width 13 mm_ weight 1.5 gr. It was said that the pelican,a water bird, wounded its own breast and fed its young with its blood. It came to represent paternal devotion and, more importantly, the sacrifice of Christ.
